Albeit a statement which is vague in nature, the first report to typify such success stories was Worth Avenue Yachts’ triple bill sale of La Sirena, Domino and Alexandra V. This rapid sale succession came from one of the fast growing brokerage firms of recent years, while the next report to affirm the growth of the brokerage market in U.S. originated from Moran Yacht & Ship.

The global brokerage house successfully sold the new Hakvoort project Golden Age, a truly beautiful yacht which, personally, I greatly look forward to seeing emerge from the yard at the end of this year. This isn’t only an exciting project, but the 3rd sale for Moran and the largest yacht sale year-to-date. Northrop & Johnson also announced the sale of motor yacht Aquila, a grand example of Benetti’s Italian flair and elegance in design.

FYI offered a different style of success report with the announcement that their fleet is expanding in both number and overall length. With a bold move into the superyacht sector ahead, the future of the brand is bright – but the future of the brokerage sector in the U.S. is looking brighter.

Moving elsewhere in the world, the Dubai Boat Show will be opening next week, bringing with it the possibility of more announcements.
